Pen tool tutorial revisited

Sun Jul 5, 2009, 5:54 PM
I've had a few friends tell me they'd like to look over my shoulder when I did a pen tool design. Maybe my tutorial wasn't as clear as it needed to be. I've done a little screencast using JING, a free screen capture and annotation tool from TechSmith. The screencast is limited to five minutes, so I had to hurry - but I've gone through the entire process. You can pause and try, or watch it as many times as it takes to get the concept. The screencast is a flash video. I hope you find it helpful. Here's the link...

Please feel free to comment and let me know if it worked for you.

hi nm
A follow up about metering;
Incident light metering is used by pros, like for commercial photography (adverts, magazines...etc) and by film makers in studios all around the world.
You've surely seen some "making of" where they show some tech. putting some meter right in front of the actor's face!
He's taking an incident light reading.
The technique is faultless and very simple to learn.
There are small variations in the way the readings are taken, and the whole can be explained on just one sheet of paper.
You will easily find some "howto's" on the net.
I have been a photographer for many tens of years, and have always used this technique. You only need a good incident light meter.
Keep up the superb work you're doing.
:iconnmsmith:
Thank you. I will look for some tutorials, and for a good light meter. Thanks for taking time to share your expertise. It's much appreciated.

Always remember to follow the Yellow Brick Road. It will lead you to OZ and the Emerald City, a very nice place to live. Trust me on this one, I live there. :house: The Lion :flagus: MY :gallery: [link] :eyepopping:

You're very welcome, my friend. Thank you for allowing me to use one of your fractals. I changed the link to your gallery to be the DA link rather than the Caedes link - which turned out kind of funky and didn't work.
:iconwhite-wingsxx:
