Pen tool tutorial revisited

Sun Jul 5, 2009, 6:54 PM
I've had a few friends tell me they'd like to look over my shoulder when I did a pen tool design. Maybe my tutorial wasn't as clear as it needed to be. I've done a little screencast using JING, a free screen capture and annotation tool from TechSmith. The screencast is limited to five minutes, so I had to hurry - but I've gone through the entire process. You can pause and try, or watch it as many times as it takes to get the concept. The screencast is a flash video. I hope you find it helpful. Here's the link...

Just to let you know, I have been doing your Jewel Tutorials but using GIMP instead of Photoshop.

So Far I am able to create the Jewels in GIMP that are comparable to the ones you create.

At some point, I'd like tyo do a Jewel Tutorial for GIMP even though a well-versed GIMP user can follow the steps in your tutorials.
I think that's a great idea. There are lots of GIMP users out there who would appreciate one. Go for it!

There is a version of GIMP out there with a Photoshop user interface, called GIMPshop, but I haven't used it much.

Thank you, your kind compliment made my day brighter. I hope you're having a great day! I looked up Goose Bay in Google Earth - is it the one in Labrador? Looks like an interesting place to live.
:) It's my pleasure.

Yes I do live in Labrador but not Goose Bay. I am in a town called Makkovik for the time being, but I will be moving to Goose Bay as soon as I can. It's going to be a great place to live. :aww:
