I have just read all her journals and am dismayed to see how in need she is. I decided to purchase a print. (I am always looking for lovely gifts for family, and my niece is doing up her room. So she gets a cool gift for her combo birthday and Christmas. I will just have to hide it for a while!)
Do you realise that if each of MzKitty's friends purchases a print and lets all their friends know, she could have that $3000 (or at least a big chunk of it) for a last ditch legal effort, and with luck she will be mended and back to producing amazing works, not to mention being out of pain? And how powerful would we all feel if we could get this going for her?
Anyway, I love to do something practical when I feel somebody could use some help. So I hope you don't mind me sending you this. I will send it to all her friends and do a journal myself.
ps. I will be back to check out your gallery when I have finished.

It seems you live in a wonderful country. So nice of you to take time to chat with me.

well yes, it was the first to break away from Soviet Union. We have sea to the north and west of us and a big lake to the east. Lot's of forests and bogs and swamps.
Ukraine is not our neighbour tough, but i guess we do a bit better than our neighbours Latvia and Lithuania. But we still have a lot to do, before we reach our neighbours over the sea (Finland, Sweden etc).
But people and traditions... Well it is said, that we've were living here before the great pyramides were raised in Egypt. And we are pretty much a nation that loves to sing (even some events that happened at the end of 80's are called together 'Singing Revolution'
After the Soviet Union things have gone naturally better, because the S.Un was a place were things didn't move much.
Hm, it's really hard to think of anything, if you live here and take it all so naturally.
But I do love our nature, but not all people (because like everywehre, there are nice people and not so nice people). I love our language, because it's beautiful, especially in poems and literature, but some translations (for movie titles for example) are really strange and kinda stiff. So for me it's a land and country and nation full of odds.
I'm really sorry. That's the best i can do. I'm not really into politics or recent history (don't know how to say it correctly in english, but what i mean, is that the intresting part of history ends for me at year 1914, when WWI started). That's why i'm unfortunately not the best person to tell stories about people of these days. (one small comment though: we do love to sit around fires at mid-summer, when the nights are shortest - this is probably one of our longest traditions going back to ancient times, when we were living in small villages amongst the wide forests and misty bogs and swamps. and our IT has very well developed - like my boss, who's from Netherlands, said: "don't tell anybody, that there's a country where you don't have to mess around with taxes weeks and months, before you get them done").

Thanks for the link, I will look at them as I need to think more about techniques like removing colour casts. I had a look at that particular one; I'm not sure how much of it Photoshop Elements will let me use, but there's a surprising amount that can be done there. Sometimes it's just a matter of looking in a different menu or using another method. I know I saw different colour channels there, so I can probably do that.
There's no snow here today but there was a bit of a gusty breeze - the cat said it was too cold for her to go out, despite the sunshine. Maybe it will warm up soon.
