Got to experimenting with a design I saw the other day, and it had an eastern feel to it (at least in my mind). So I added the deep red fractal background and border. Hope you enjoy.

:) A wonderfull picture. I very much like the wine-red background. Because of it's haziness, it looks like velvet or marble. ~ :deviation: Faved! :+fav:

hey mate ^^ I have a question you probably can help me out with :) How do you fill the space in your line constructions. I have a project where I want to do that but I don't know how to do and you do that in this image :P

My line work is always on a layer of it's own in Photoshop. If I command-click on the image in the layers palette, it selects the lines in that layer. I go into the select menu and select the inverse (everything but the lines).

I create a new layer, then fill the selection with a color. I can use the magic wand tool to select pieces that I didn't want to keep and delete them. Then I can manipulate that layer with styles, layer effects, whatever. In this image, I've applied a gradient (golden yellow to brown) to the section inside the gold star.

Hope this helps answer your question.
