Zion National Park - December 2011 II by nmsmith Zion National Park - December 2011 II by nmsmith
Zion National Park is such a beautiful place to visit - anytime of the day. I took this shot about 3:30 in the afternoon on December 30, 2011.

Feb. 2, 2012 - switched to a higher resolution photo. Hope you enjoy.

This IS An Inspiring Shot, The Golden And Orange Tones Just Grab You And I Like How The Trees Below And The White Cliffs Above Frame This Section Of The Mountain.

Thank you. It was a lovely day to spend there last week. The park is an amazing place that no camera can do justice to.

Is this the Altar of Sacrifice or some other area of the park?

I'm not sure. I can tell you where I took the shot, though. If you go up the canyon to where the road ends (not the road with the tunnel), you end up where the Narrows hikes begin. This is at that stop looking back down the canyon.
